Reservoir Hill

The Masonic Memorial sits atop reservoir hill, so known because it was home the water reservoirs for Alexandria.  This one remains, lined, with little or no water in it.

The George Washington Masonic Memorial sits on a hill top, and then is a dozen stories tall, making it a landmark for miles.  This is from Duke Street, about 3/4 of a mile west of the memorial.

What history would they tell? 

New York Bound

If you are going north from Alexandria, going past DC, it is faster to take the subway to Union Station, and board there, than to take the train from King Street.  The trains change from diesel to electric at Union Station in DC.  But the convenience of traveling from King Street can't be beat.
